I ride mountain bikes nearly daily and ski a lot too. This band put up with 1 year and 4 months of abuse before finally breaking at the buckle. I move the adjustment quite a bit especially for skiing so that I can slide the watch further up, out of the way, for my gloves to fit. I'm impressed with how long this has held up as my only watch band. The large weave breathes quite well, it never got itchy when soaked with water, mud, sweat. I also never washed it and it stayed relatively clean looking. All in all I'd buy It again but I just saw the Moneo with it's metal snap type buckle and I want to give that one a try.

Exactly what I wanted

This strap is doing exactly what I expected. The stretchy nature of the strap allows for it to keep my watch in place while I ride my mountain bike. metal and silicone straps can't do this as they're aren't able to stretch and acommodate a constantly flexing and relaxing forearm. inevitably the watch would slide down to my hand and create a pinch point at the back of my wrist. I'd have to stop and readjust. So far so good with the Astra strap.
