Size guide

At Astra Straps, all our bands have clear and specific sizes indicated. Please check the sizing guide below before ordering. If you are still unsure, you may contact us here.

1. How do I know my wrist size?

Simply use a flexible measuring tape to wrap around your wrist and record the measurement on the tape that overlaps the zero end of the tape OR just grab any string/paper strips to do the same, then lay the string on a ruler to get your accurate wrist size.

In most cases, knowing your wrist size/length will be sufficient. Check your wrist size against the size of the strap that you wish to purchase on the individual product details page.

From there, you can select and purchase our watch straps: Small (S), Large (L) or Free Size.

2. What is the watch band width / watch lug measurement?

In certain cases, knowing your wrist size alone may not be sufficient. In such a scenario, you will need the watches' band width size, also know as the watch lug width size.

Your Apple watch will say the measurement on the back.

If you cant find the size on the back place the watch with the watch face facing up. Take the measurement of the distance between the lugs (where the watch strap fits).

For Apple Watches the you have the choice between 38MM, 40MM, 41MM, 42MM, 44MM, 45MM & 49MM, you can also enter your watch model number into a search engine to find what size your watch uses.

Apple Watch 7, 8, and 9: The Apple Watch Series 7, 8, and the newly released Series 9 are compatible with a wide range of our bands, including sizes 38MM, 40MM, 41MM, 42MM, 44MM, 45MM, and 49MM. For watch cases, they fit the 41MM and 45MM sizes.

Apple Watch Ultra and Ultra 2: The recently introduced Apple Watch Ultra and Ultra 2 are compatible with 45MM and 49MM bands. As for the watch cases, both the Ultra and Ultra 2 models are available in a 49MM size.

Just what I needed...

I have always warn a magnetic loop watch band with my Apple Watches from the first time they came out. It's sad that Apple doesn't seem to offer them any more but Astra Straps had just what I needed. I wasn’t sure what to expect with regard to quality and strength of the magnets. The magnets hold very well. I even used it while training in martial arts and, although it did loosen a bit, it didn’t fly off. Overall I’m very happy with the fit and finish of this band

This band is actually super comfortable with the soft rubber covering and the magnets work really well to keep it closed. It also stays closed really well I’ve had no issues of it becoming loose or not working even during rigorous outside construction work.

I really like the look and feel of this band. The magnetic clasping system is very secure. I officiate basketball and can not wear a watch to track fitness whilst I officiate. The generous length of this band make it possible to attach the watch to my ankle and still track steps, miles and heart rates. I cover it with the top of the sock and it comfortably and securely stays on my ankle.

I got the Saddle Brown Marley Leather band and I love the look and feel of it. It’s very light and comfortable, and it stays in place (doesn’t move around). The Saddle Brown matches the orange tones in my Apple Watch Ultra as I expected. Shipping was a little slow but I’m glad to finally have it. The strap itself is long for my wrist, but I figured out where to tighten it at so that the tip the band isn't sticking up past the watch itself.

As soon as I put my watch on, my girl said that the band must have been at least $100, I had not told her price or that I even purchased it. Looks great, durable, and easy to size. The only issue is in humid areas, it tends to stick to my wrist. Other than that, great purchase, I love it.
